Substation in Ghana

The Spanish group Elecnor, specialized in infrastructure, energy and telecommunications, has won a contract for the construction of an electrical substation in Ghana for 45 million dollars. The largest project that Elecnor has carried out so far in this country, as reported by the company in a statement.

The winning contract will be carried out by Elecnor Infraestructuras, which has signed with the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA) the works of design, construction and commissioning of a new exterior substation of 330 / 34.5 kV and another interior of 33 / 11kV. These infrastructures are operated by two of the country’s main electricity companies, Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) and Electricity Company of Ghana Limited (ECG), respectively.
