FRV inks 90-MW solar PPA with Australia’s Snowy Hydro

Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Snowy Hydro, one of Australia’s leading electricity generation and trading companies, for the supply of energy generated by the solar plant from Sevastopol, located in the State of New South Wales (Australia), the company reported.

With a power of 90 megawatts (MW), Sevastopol will produce enough energy to supply more than 40,000 Australian homes a year. It will also prevent the emission of approximately 77,600 tons of CO2 per year, which is equivalent to removing more than 27,700 cars from the country’s roads, said the group of renewables part of Abdul Latif Jameel Energy.
