Extremadura will host a new 138 MW photovoltaic plant

Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), part of Abdul Latif Jameel Energy has reached the financial closing for the construction of the 138 MW dc San Serván solar plant in the municipality of Solana de los Barros, Extremadura.

This is the first ecological transaction certified by the Climate Bond in Spain, with an ecological loan of 64 million euros and in which Natixis acts as insurer. This demonstrates FRV’s solid commitment to good practices in financing renewable projects.

Vigeo Eiris provided this accreditation according to the solar criteria of the Climate Bond standards, which ensures that the loan received is compatible with the 2 ° C warming limit of the Paris Agreement.

Under the certification, FRV will report regularly on the adequacy of the project to the KPIs defined in accordance with the CBI guidelines.
