GRANSOLAR - GRS is in the awarded Consortium of a project of 800 MW in Dubai

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced past June 26th the selected bidder for the 800 megawatt (MW) third phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, which will be constructed based on the Independent Power Producer (IPP) model.

 

The selected bidder for the project is a Masdar-led consortium including the Spanish companies GRANSOLAR GROUP (GRS) and FRV (Fotowatio Renewable Ventures). The consortium was selected following a sizable competition and evaluation of numerous offers (95 Expressions of Interest (EOI) from international energy companies was sent to DEWA).

 

The consortium bid offered a Levelised Cost of Electricity (LCOE), of USD $2.99 cents per kilowatt hour (kW/h).
