Ingeteam has been awarded a pioneering contract in the wind sector for the monitoring of vibrations, supervision and status diagnostics of over 550 MW distributed in wind farms worldwide. This solution will be undertaken with a tool called Ingesys CMS, created by the company, which makes it possible to foresee potential problems which may be detected in the wind turbine (gearbox failures, problems in the bearings, etc.).

The service includes the predictive analysis, supply, installation and commissioning of over 280 Ingesys CMS devices in technologies such as Vestas, General Electric, Alstom and Repower, amongst others, distributed in wind farms worldwide, mainly in Italy, Mexico, Bulgaria, Greece and the USA. The supervision processes and status diagnostics of the wind turbines will be performed in Albacete (Spain) by ISO 18436-2-certified, category III vibration analysis engineers with over 9 years’ experience in predictive maintenance.

Ingesys CMS

Ingesys CMS is a condition monitoring system which can be integrated into any SCADA system.  It is completely open and configurable and has very user-friendly data display software, making it possible to customise the final solution to the needs of the client and therefore increase their ROI.

As a complement to this tool, INGETEAM has developed data conversion modules which make it possible to include data generated by third-party CMS devices into the Ingesys CMS tool suite. This functional feature on the one hand makes it possible to decrease the licence cost since different software per CMS is not required, whilst on the other hand increase efficiency in supervising the status of wind turbines since the entire fleet of farms is on one single platform.

Grupo Ingeteam is a company that specialises in designing control and power electronics (frequency converters and process control and automation systems), electrical machines (generators and motors), electrical engineering, generation plants and operation and maintenance services. Ingeteam develops its products for 4 sectors:  energy, industry, marine, and railway traction, always seeking to optimise energy consumption and maximise efficiency.

The company operates in all of the continents and employs almost 3,200 staff worldwide. Ingeteam’s activity is based on I&D, into which it invests approximately 8% of its income yearly.
